“Specialty” and “custom” are two areas that Waagmeester Industrial Canvas excels in. We’ve created more unique, special, custom pieces than we can count over the years. As with everything we do, colors, patterns, fabrics, materials, size and scale are all fully customizable to your specifics. This is were the phrases “if it can be sewn, we can make it” and “the only limit is your imagination” come into play. The Waagmeester Industrial Canvas team loves a challenge and we’re always up for pushing our design and manufacturing skills with new and exciting projects.

Waagmeester Industrial Canvas creates graphic and branded pieces that brightly, beautifully and boldly showcase brands, logos and messages. Above we’ve included some beautiful examples of some of the covers, awnings and curtains we’ve created. These product looks great, are strong and durable, and they’re long lasting.

Shade sails can be decorative accent pieces, functional light control solutions and in many cases both. We offer a variety of shade sails for a variety of uses. Commercial and residential, indoor and outdoor, function and decorative, Waagmeester Industrial Canvas’ shade sails offer a dramatic and beautiful look inside and out.

Along with our custom commercial and residential awning capabilities, the Waagmeester team custom creates interior and exterior sun shades for commercial and residential use. Our sun shades are easy to operate, are constructed from the highest quality materials (both the fabric and hardware) and highly customizable in color, pattern, fabric and translucency.

The Friends of Cathedral Park Neighborhood Association in Portland, OR reached out to us to replaced a worn and tattered stage cover in Cathedral Park. We followed the original design very closely and created a lacquer coated polyester cover that was perfect for both acoustics and resisting high winds.

We’ve taken on many projects over the years that, on the surface, seemed decorative and largely for fun but turned out to be highly functional. Though the photos above show a dry day, we got a letter from this customer that an unexpected storm dropped freezing rain and hail on him for five of his seven day adventure! This canvas rain fly offered serious protection against serious weather. He told us had it not been for our custom canvas rain fly, he’d have had a very soggy week.

Custom sail making and rigging fabrication have always been at the heart of the Waagmeester family business. Here are two projects we completed that required custom graphics. In the first two photos, the masks you see on the sail each stand 25 feet tall! The red, white and blue create a beautiful contrast and the finished product was stunning if we do say so ourselves.

Our design capabilities come from a passion for the work we do and the benefit of nearly three quarters of a century’s experience in the industry.
